TO SIR AKBAR HYDARI PRIME MINISTER OF HYDERABAD DECCAN
On Receiving a Cheque of Rs. 1909/- from the Privy Purse of his Exalted Highness, the Nizam of Deccan as a token of goodwill.

It was God’s order that grandeur of kings,
Give to a Hermit who holds the king’s wings.

He bade me, "take reins and rule like kings,
With wits beauty show them, the lasting springs."

I was ready to lift His Trust on Wings,
Each bitter in my palate turns sweet things.

My faqr’s envy but took not this role,
When he said it was His Godship’s dole.
