The Shaikh was fighting for Endowment  Acts¹
Ask him if there is any property left for endowment also?

Explanatory Notes
1. Such legislative acts were being considered at one time in the Indian sub-continent to protect Muslim properties from being taken over by Hindu money lenders for payment of the heavy debts which Muslims usually owed to them. These acts became controversial. Some �Ulam� supported them as a means of protecting Muslim properties, especially those of endowments to descendants. Others opposed them as being in conflict with the laws of inheritance of the Shar�ah.
