All-Pakistan Competitions Continue Under the Theme “Yeh Ghazi Yeh Tere Purasrar Banday”

Students from colleges and universities across the country participate in contests on Iqbal’s poetry and essay writing

Lahore, August 20,2025:  The series of All-Pakistan competitions organized by Iqbal Academy Pakistan for college and university students continued for a second day under the theme “Yeh Ghazi Yeh Tere Purasrar Banday.” The competitions featured recitation of Iqbal’s poetry and essay writing.
The ceremony was presided over by Air Vice Marshal Anwar Mahmood Khan, while Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui, Director of Iqbal Academy Pakistan, presented the vote of thanks.
In his address, Air Vice Marshal Anwar Mahmood Khan highlighted the significance of Allama Iqbal’s thought and the contemporary relevance of his message. He stated that “Iqbal’s message is universal and serves as a guiding light not only for Muslims but for all humanity.” He commended the participation of students and said such competitions are an effective way to familiarize the younger generation with Iqbal’s philosophy. He congratulated Iqbal Academy Pakistan for the successful organization of the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rafiqui remarked that Iqbal’s poetry is not mere verse but a complete philosophy of life. He added, “Iqbal’s message guides us toward faith, unity, and discipline. Today’s youth must understand and implement this message in their lives to contribute to the creation of a better society.” He reaffirmed the Academy’s strong commitment to promoting Iqbal’s vision, noting that such events play a vital role in fostering intellectual awareness among students and connecting them with their cultural heritage.
At the conclusion of the competitions, prizes were distributed among the students who excelled. Winners securing first, second and third positions in recitation, national songs and painting contests were awarded shields and certificates.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of teachers, students, parents and people from diverse walks of life, reflecting the broad appeal of Iqbal’s thought and the enthusiasm of the younger generation in embracing his message.
