A Key Step Towards Spreading Allama Iqbal’s Thought and Enhancing Educational Opportunities in Balochistan
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Iqbal Academy Pakistan and the University of Loralai with the aim of fostering collaboration in academic and research domains. Under this agreement, both institutions will cooperate in joint research projects, seminars, publications, and the promotion of Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s ideas and message. The MoU signing ceremony was formally officiated by Dr. Abdul Rouf Rafiqui, Director of Iqbal Academy Pakistan, and Dr. Tariq Kakar, Assistant Professor at the University of Loralai. Heads of departments from the Academy also attended the event.
The primary objective of this memorandum is to enhance educational opportunities for the youth in Balochistan, familiarize the younger generation with the thought of Allama Iqbal, and connect regional universities with the national intellectual discourse. Both institutions plan to benefit from each other’s experiences through joint academic and literary activities, research initiatives, and curricular reforms in the future. On this occasion, Dr. Abdul Rouf Rafiqui stated that Iqbal Academy Pakistan has always been committed to promoting Iqbal studies across different regions of the country, and this agreement is a continuation of that mission. Dr. Tariq Kakar remarked that this collaboration would not only benefit the University of Loralai but also define a new intellectual direction for the entire province of Balochistan. This partnership is expected to open new avenues for research and publication and inspire the youth to embrace the philosophy and teachings of Allama Iqbal.
